Swimming and picnic

Before school holiday ends, we spent our last Saturday at East Coast Beach. It's the first time for the kids swimming in the beach. After that we had dinner which is McDonald by the sea while enjoying the sunset.

Sea and Sunset

This midterm school holiday, we decided to chill and relax at the beach. We made a reservation at Tanjong Beach Club and booked for a beach day bed. Thanks God, it's a sunny day after raining several days before back to back.

We arrived at 4.30pm and the kids jumped straight to the pool while papa had conference call and mama sat, relax and sipping the drink before having a dip in the pool.

Papa decided to have a dip also after finished his conference call. While mama enjoyed sunset.

The kids enjoyed to the max, they went back and forth between beach and pool until we forgot to order the food. There's a min spending S$100 for each bed and we spent mostly in the drink. We only ordered truffle fries shared between the kids and hubby and salad for me. 

Luckily, our friend brought sushi party and it's shared by the kids.

We were there until the beach closed.

Even though it's quite short time, but we feel like we are not in Singapore. 

Feeling rejuvenated and recharged again and we will visit the Sentosa beach again may be trying other clubs which offering swimming pool and private beach.

Inner Artist (Music)

Richie apparently has inner artist which is musical. Self taught piano/keyboard from youtube, he has courage to perform for Teacher's day during his last year of Primary school.

Because of that, we want to enrol him for music class that he can express his feeling through music.

Last Friday, we enrolled him for drum trial and within 10 mins crash course, he's able to accompany his teacher with his favorite song from Alan Walker.

The War Starts (PSLE) - Aug 2021

This week Richie had first PSLE which is oral test for both English and Mother tongue.

Next week, he will have prelim PSLE. To give a boost, we bring him to eat Yakiniku Like.

From building block to building chair

Richie has grown up, now he no longer building lego block, Richie takes the challenge to build the chair from Ikea. He follows instruction and ta da he builds office chair for mama.

Out with Friends

This is the first time Richie was out with friends. He watched movie, had lunch and played in his friend's house. It's to celebrate his friend's birthday.

I guess it will be a new normal for his age to celebrate birthday.

Happy Niu Year 2021

This year was our first Chinese New Year spent in Singapore due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

Thus, we were the eldest in the family hosted CNY reunion at our home sweet home. Our helper cooked the homecooked meals Indo-chinese cuisine.

The menu :

- Fried Noodle (symbol : longetivity)

- Indonesian mixed meatball soup 

- Sweet and sour chicken

- Capcay

- Calamari rings

- Yusheng

- Orange loukan

My sister bought some cookies and we shared them among us as we didn't want to overeat.

We started off with taking pictures, yusheng and prayer for Niu Year, fellowship over lunch and called our parents in Indonesia.

It's an intimate and warm celebration catching up with each other and glad that everyone's doing well.

New Year Eve Quarantined (31 Dec 2020)

This year is really special, we celebrate Christmas and New Year eve with our family in Singapore only.

We are hosting thanksgiving lunch inviting our close family and relatives at our home sweet home.

We cooked western food, pizza, macaroni schotel, tropical salad, calamari rings and bought baked chicken. Everyone is happy and delighted.

Hopefully next year will bring more hope, joy, peace, love, prosperity and good health.

A day in an island (28 Dec 2020)

Because of Covid-19 we are unable to travel overseas, the only place that resembles island in other place is Pulau Ubin.

We departed from Changi Point Ferry terminal at 10am and reached there around 10.30am. We rented the bike and had brunch before exploring the island.

One hour later after fuelling our body, we were ready for the adventure. The first stop was Cek Java Wetlands on the east part of the island. We climbed up to the viewing tower for the awesome view.

Then, we journeyed to the west to Puaka Hill. Hiking and climbing up for another breath-taking view. It's all worth it.

We finished our journey around 4pm and went back home, happy and tired.
