Richie's characters

After observing him for quite sometimes, mommy knew some of his characters.

- little public relation
Sometimes he's too friendly I would say. Anytime anywhere, he likes to greet and smile to strangers.
There's an experience, when mommy and daddy had visitors and we had dinner at cheese prata.
As usual, he wanted to move around and greeted almost every guest there with his sweet smile.

- little marketer
Mommy's not sure whether his strangers anxiety hasn't built yet or it's simply his character.
He's not afraid or shy with new people or kids.
When he's in the playground and wanted to play something which other kids or even older kids were playing with it. He's not shy ask them. Of course without words yet but with action haha....
And when we went to botanical garden, there's a french kid (around 3 or 4 years old) riding the toy walker like what he had and suddenly richie was walking toward him and play with the steer wheel haha...

- little engineer
One of his favorite activities is turning his toys upside down. His push walker, girrafe ball coaster, truck, train , stroller are all upside down. He wants to know how they move, how the wheels work.
And he likes to play with his mega blocks, it's kinda of lego for 1+ year old. He could play with them at least for 15mins, while mommy's doing something else


- little adventurer
He likes to try and challenge himself. He could climb his baby chair by himself, and sometimes reach the dining table by climbing his baby chair to find food or TV remote
He likes to walk in escalator while we are at mall and the most favorite activity is hiding the things
and mommy's busy looking for it.

- little scientist / observer
He likes to observe something interesting, like shadow, birds, cat, dog, trees, leaves, wind, water
And with his capacity, he likes to explore it.
For eg when there's shadows, he will move his fingers and see the shadow. And he wants to touch wind and water eventhough it's impossible.

Mommy also thinks that he's more passive receiver, when mommy taught him words, sign language. He doesn't really bother about it, but mommy knows for sure that he understands it by listening and memorize it in his brain.
Hopefully, when the time comes, he's able to show his abilities

4 teeth so far

Sometimes mommy just wondering Richie is already 14 months old but he's still having 4 teeth.
True, that he's drooling a lot nowadays but when mommy checks his gum. It doesn't show the sign that the teeth will come out.
I'm not sure whether it's normal for 14 months old baby having only 4 teeth so far

Slow in speech

Mommy would say Richie is a little bit slow in speech skills.
He prefers using baby language to proper language. Even though we have trained him by speaking loud and clearly. He just doesn't bother to do it.
When he's upset or angry, he likes mumbling with his own language which mommy and daddy don't understand.
Some said that boy is slower than the girl. I am not sure whether it's true.

Well, mommy just needs to be patience and persistent then...
Hopefully you can speak proper words son !

Walk walk walk

Richie is now able to walk more steps and able to cross the room.
Even though he still prefers crawling if rushing but he spends more times practice walking also

Richie is now able to walk 5 steps and he's still trying to walk more and more steps.
Mommy is really amazed his effort, with or without mommy's praise, he always tries to get up and walk.
When he's able to walk for few steps, he will turn his face to mommy with big smile...as if he wants to say...
MOMMY, I MAKE IT hehe....

And when he falls down after that, he seldom cries, he will get up and try over and over again.
Mommy never imagine that learn to walk is very difficult for baby. They need to have full balance on his feet to support his body...and the amazing part is they never give up, it's their instinct to try over and over again until they can walk properly and steadily.

Whenever we go out to mall or just playground, he likes to walk with one hand holding to mommy and wandering around...
He likes to explore something new and mommy and daddy are also getting tired chasing him especially when he wants to explore the escalator, glass door....

Mommy guesses, Richie would be able to walk before his 15th month b'day...
