Serving PD KKIHS for the first time

Richie has been self learning guitar for a while, thus mama encourages her to serve as guitarist at PD KKIHS, Indonesian prayer meeting and he agreed.

So here we go, he played 3 songs and we are so proud of him. He will serve again next month.

Inner Artist (Music)

Richie apparently has inner artist which is musical. Self taught piano/keyboard from youtube, he has courage to perform for Teacher's day during his last year of Primary school.

Because of that, we want to enrol him for music class that he can express his feeling through music.

Last Friday, we enrolled him for drum trial and within 10 mins crash course, he's able to accompany his teacher with his favorite song from Alan Walker.

Since Ted has music lesson, it inspires Richie to play keyboard. He wants to participate in QIFA shine to play keyboard.

He learns by himself from youtube and able to produce two songs.

He always surprised me with his hidden talent and this time round, he showed me his work to create his song using computer apps.
I'm impressed and proud of him.

Self Learning - piano (8.5 years old)

Richie is a genius boy, when he's in Semarang, iik Intan taught him one simple song using piano and within a day, he can play the song. I was amazed and not only that, he borrowed Tromson's piano book, memorized it and he can finish the whole book within a day.

He wants to learn ukulele at Tromson's music school, I let him learn in school first for 8 weeks. If he really wants to learn deeper than mama will enrol him to music school.

He knows the lyric and now he can play it too.
It takes a day for him to practice this song

Learning music Review (aft 2 months)

After 2 months intensive coaching, Richie can read the note, play simple song with both hands
He still needs lots of practices and coordination though.
Well done boy !

 

Learning music (DIY) stage 1 progress

After one month learning music with mommy, 3 times a week, Richie has shown some progresses
He can recognize
- note in the staff from do - sol
- can play do - sol (right hand) in the keyboard
- can play very simple song by reading the notes using right hand only

Start to learn music by mommy (10 Feb 2014)

This week is another starting week for him to learn music or piano in particular.
Instead of sending him to music school, mommy wants to see whether he has interest on music therefore mommy wants to introduce it and teaches Richie by herself.
Mommy borrows music book for beginner from Aunty Dena. Here's some pages of the basic music book.
Hopefully Richie has interest in music to balance his left and right brain hehe....

Love playing keyboard

Like mother like son, Richie also loves playing music instrument than singing, especially keyboard.
Mommy bought second hand keyboard from friend for practising and unwind. But end up, Richie uses it more often than me hehe...
Almost every morning, we play together, and this is the video that mommy captures today when he tries to sing and play the wheel on the bus

His favorite activities

There are two favorite activites : playing keyboard and photograph.
Perhaps it's from mom's genes.
Every morning, mommy always hears him playing keyboard even though only 3 minutes and he just anyhow plays and when mommy steps up to teach him some notes. He immediately turn off the keyboard and doesn't want mommy touch it..
Oh boy !!

And every time he meets Om Reynard, he will say photo photo.  He either wants to be photographed or he wants to take picture
Anyway, he has photogenic smile too hehe

Richie the Explorer

While in Bali, Richie learnt many things from splashing the water, climbing up the stairs and learning the sound of some musical instruments.

Singing...singing...

Mommy surprised this morning as usual Richie turn on the CD player, sit in front of it and listen the songs with dancing then when mommy was at other bedroom, mommy heard Richie saying ba ba ba...when the song chorus said bom bom bom...
It seemed that he liked to follow the chorus song, it's so cute, mommy was giggling in the bedroom listening him try to sing hahaha...

Mommy wanted to video the event, but too bad, he knew it and just run into mommy...
There are two songs that he likes to follow by singing.
First is Make a foolish rhyme and the second one is Sally the camel

ya ya yayaya...=> Richie likes to say it when he hears this song

in China they never grow chilly
so sing me another verse and worse than the first verse
make sure it's foolish and silly....

The Collaboration between mommy and richie - 11 months old

Activities in the afternoon - 10.5 months old

1. Standing, Bending, Banging the steel bed frame
2. Listening, clapping, dancing, crawling in daddy's study room

Richie likes to listen the music and starts dancing afterwards...kinda funny, cute but adorable
