New wooden toys

Mommy bought this new wooden blocks from Groupon, the wooden toys are amazing, it has road map puzzle, some wooden blocks with pictures like cars, ambulance, trees etc and the lid of the bucket can be used for shape sorter.
Not only Richie likes it, mommy also loves it

And the night before sleep, Richie teaches Tromson to do a shape sorter, and guess what is Tromson's reaction?

Learn to ride bicycle

This is Richie's new and first bike and bought by Opa and Oma for his 2nd Birthday.
He really likes it 'cos he chooses the bike by himself.
Even though he hasn't been able to pedal and enjoys to be pushed instead hehe...

If you promise, don't break it

This is the lesson learn for mommy and daddy as parents
If we make promise, make sure we fuilfill it especially to our children

Three days ago, in the afternoon Richie was playing with mommy as usual, and he wanted to play Thomas and train. We had two sets, one was the simple one with blue track and another one was Thomas big loader,it's quite complex
Richie wanted to play the latter, but since it needs time and brain to assemble, mommy told Richie to wait daddy to come in the evening and let daddy assemble for him.

Then, as usual we met daddy in the playground in the evening. As Richie just finished the bath, he quickly ran into his toy's box and pointed the train's box. He asked daddy to assemble the Thomas Big Loader trains.
Mommy was pretty surprised 'cos he still remembered and daddy had no choice. After changing clothes, he helped Richie assemble the trains and Richie was so happy haha...

Well, from here, it's lesson learnt that it's very important as parents
1. not to make any promises especially those that can't be fulfilled
2. if make promises, then make sure it's fulfilled
3. make promises that it benefits for both parties, for eg if you finish your food, we will drink juice or if you sleep now then we can play again later.
4. don't make promise that becomes indulgence or bribes, for eg if you finish your food, I will buy you new toys or if you sleep now, I will buy you ....
5. It's useful to discipline the kids, for eg If you still want to play and don't want to sleep, I will leave the room (provided that your kids don't want to be left alone in the room). Make sure if they don't follow your instruction, you do it even though only 3 minutes.

Trust is very important between both parents and kids and it starts from little things.
The more the kids trust the parents, the more they respect their parents.
And it makes a good habit for them too especially in the long run.
They learn that if you make promise, don't break it

Playing Pretend - BBQ and cut the cake

Mommy bought two toys recently for Richie in purpose of letting him practice his fine motor skills using tweezers and knife.
First one was BBQ games. The stove is so cute, it can make popping sound and the meat can flip by itself when it's cooked.
Second one was Birthday cake, another purpose is for Richie practicing the cake ceremony from blowing the candle and cutting the cake. But it seems that he likes cutting the cake more than blowing the candle hehe

New Bag

Oma came 2 days ago and bought the trolley bag for Richie..and guess what...
Richie liked it so much, he always hold and pull the bag wherever he goes including sleeping time

Richie now likes to play pretend, he pretends to eat, drink, sweep and mop the floor. What mommy does, he wants to copy too.
That's why mommy bought him some plastic plates, cups, bowls, spoons, cooking ladles from Ikea.
Mommy wanted to buy the pretend cooking set but it's expensive, the price is almost the same the real one.
Well, it's good quality though, 'cos the cooking set is not like toys, it's like real one but in smaller size.
So, mommy still can use them for cooking small quantity.
Hmmm..well let me think first then hehe...

Besides, mommy also bought McDonald's miniatures, it's small but not very small that can choke the kids.
It's cute as well and Richie likes to play pretend with them especially the apple pie
Now, mommy's hunting for artificial fruits and vegetables and eggs for Richie. So mommy can teach him the fruits and vegetables names while he can play pretend with them

Thomas and Friends

Since Richie likes train, so mommy bought lunch backpack, lunch box and the water bottle Thomas and Friends.
Hopefully he can use them 'till kindergarten, since the mickey mouse backpack has been spoilt and not enough for his milk, lunch box, snacks etc

Cat...Dog...Bird...

There are pets that Richie's familiar with...
'Cos they are animals that Richie always sees whenever mommy or daddy bring him to playground.
When Richie notices either cat, dog or bird, he gets excited and point to the animals.

If there's a cat, he will say mao mao hehe...(mao = cat in mandarin) but I know for sure, what he means is meaw meaww 'cos it's what I teach him the sound of cat.

Other than that, mommy bought a set of pet animals from Kiddy Place. It's on sale hehe...
There are ducks, chicken, cow, sheep, lamb, cat, buffalo, turkey, horse. At least mommy could introduce him the pets in 3D not only the book

Favorite Toys from Fisher Price

Since there was news that the toys from China affected many children there because of toxic, mommy decides never buy toys that has unclear brand and chooses Fisher Price brand instead.
It's more pricey compare with other brands, but mommy feels safe using Fisher Price and it's worth of it.
The color and the plastics materials doesn't seem go off soon.

Mommy ever bought the drums set and Richie was banging and biting and the plastic and color were just went off so soon....therefore mommy decided never buy cheap toys anymore.
Besides, the fisher price toys have lighting, music to encourage the kids playing more...

Learning Mandarin and Flash Card through Iphone

Mommy just bought new Iphone4 on 27th September and it was a great investment even better than Blackberry.
Luckily mommy changed to Iphone. The applications are so wide range and mommy can use the applications to teach Richie flash cards and learning mandarin.
When Richie wants to be entertained on car or eating, mommy just use the iphone flash card to keep him still hehe...
Thanks to Hi-tech, after Iphone the next gadget for Richie will be Ipad

Richie's new backpack

Since Richie likes to munch a lot especially when we go out and the old bag is not enough already to put all the food and drink so mommy bought a new backpack, Mickey Mouse Backpack

What usually inside the backpack :
1 cup of Gerber puff
2 heinz biscuits
100cc plain water
1 cup of his meal + spoon
bib
wet wipes
tissue
plastic

Additional items if we go out more than 6 hours :
2 slices of bread or any bread/cake
120cc of plain water for milk
2 tub milk powder (for 120cc milk)
